This qualification is the entry-level qualification for Enrolled Nurses (ENs) in Australia. You will develop the essential skills and knowledge to work as an Enrolled Nurse across a range of healthcare settings under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will learn to work with patients of all ages in different environments with a focus on aged care, community, and mental health.
The course also develops your skills and knowledge to administer intravenous medications and gain the skills in acute care which involves medical and surgical nursing skills.
Employment Opportunities
The number of people working as Enrolled and Mothercraft Nurses grew moderately over 5 years: from 23,900 in 2014 to 25,100 in 2019.
Job Outlook project an increase of more than 3,000 worker by 2024.
Future demand for Enrolled Nurse job roles is expected to increase by approximately 7.6% during the next five years.
