This qualification prepares you to work for community services organisations, government departments and not for-profit organisations in a wide variety or roles and services.
The course covers how to provide support to people in need of assistance, how to link clients to appropriate services and government department, development of counselling and case management, program coordination and the supervision of other workers and/or volunteers.
This qualification is superseded. You can still enrol in this course and will be contacted if you need to transition into the current version of the training product that we have on scope when it becomes available.

Community Services is an exciting and growing profession with many opportunities for specialisation.
Employment in the Health Care and Social Assistance industry grew significantly and is projected to grow by 301,000 (or 15.8%) by November 2026
Employment for Social Assistance welfare workers is expected to grow by 25.2% to 94,700 persons employed by 2026.
