Destination Australia Scholarship

The aim of the Destination Australia Program is to attract and support international and domestic students to study in regional Australia, to grow and develop regional Australian tertiary education providers and offer students high-quality learning experience.


Partners in Training Australia has been selected as a provider for the 2020 round of the Federal Government's Destination Australia program.

Scholarship value: $30,000 in total per Student ($15,000 per year)

Application Process

  • Attend a nursing information session.
  • Attend a scholarship information session.
  • Meet the English language requirements for HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing.
  • Complete the VETASSESS test achieving the minimum requirement of exit level 3.
  • Satisfactorily complete a PTA Pre-Training Review and Enrolment.
  • Applicants will receive the Scholarship Application Form.
  • Submit Application Form and supporting documents to PTA by Sunday, 9th February 2020.
  • Selected applicants will be invited to attend an interview.
  • Successful applicants are required to accept their scholarship offer within the required timeframe.
  • All applicants will receive the outcome of their application.

  • Eligibility Criteria

    Please check the eligibility criteria for the Destination Australia Scholarships before proceeding your scholarship application.

    To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • a new student to Diploma of Nursing with Partners in Training Australia; and
  • enrolled as a domestic student; and
  • successfully enrolled in the full-time HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing (meet all enrolment requirements for the course); and
  • enrolled to study at PTA Shepparton or Sale Campus; and
  • maintaining ongoing residency in a regional area as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Where a course includes study outside a regional area (for example, for a clinical placement), residency away from the regional area is permitted for no more than 4 and a half months.
